STEP – Power Hour
Todd is teaching Power Hour once again!
In the 80’s Todd was instrumental in introducing Step classes to all the major fitness facilities in Winnipeg. During his decade as Director at the YM-YWCA of Winnipeg he travelled across Canada as a Trainer for the National YMCA. After opening Studio 26 he focused on Core 26 Hot Yoga but due to popular demand, and the addition of an air-conditioned second studio, he is once again teaching the very popular Power Hour. This class is pure fun and great for beginners as well as seasoned steppers.
Step aerobics is a classic cardio workout. It’s lasted for decades for a simple reason: It delivers results. The “step” is a 4-inch to 8-inch raised platform. You step up, around, and down from the platform in different patterns to boost your heart rate and breathing, and strengthen your muscles. Step aerobics has all the benefits of a high-intensity cardio workout without putting stress on your joints. It improves overall fitness by building strength , reducing fat, and boosting your cardiovascular health. It also burns calories, making it an ideal way to maintain your target body weight.
